For the 2016 IEEE EMBS Quinquennial International Student Conference
April 21-23, 2016
Developed By Students, For Students!
Since 2013, EMBS has organized a number of International Student Conferences (ISCs) all over the globe, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Egypt, Malaysia, and Chile.
Organized by a group of highly motivated biomedical engineering students, for students just like themselves, the ISCs offer an opportunity for student delegates to meet like-minded students in their region, gather to discuss ideas, present their work, exchange views and have some fun, too!
The invited speakers, presentations, and workshops are all geared toward helping students establish themselves in the BME field and think about their career path after postgraduate studies. The event is a fun and safe environment to present for the first time, try out poster designing skills, and importantly, to network.
This is just the beginning!
The ISCs have been so successful that we’re rolling out a special international student conference, to be held once every five years. This event will bring together a multinational student committee, and is open to delegates from all over the world.
EMBS will host a special ISC at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
Along with the technical sessions, the agenda for this event will include career planning and professional development sessions. Students will also have the opportunity to present their work, and enjoy an exciting lineup of speakers and workshops to help hone skills on paper writing, grant writing, presentation delivery, and more. You won’t want to miss it!
